About Esra Parr
With a professional background in graphic design, personal image and silk painting, I went on to study horticulture, hard landscaping and landscape and garden design at Capel Manor College over a course of 4 years.
I am a Pre-Registered member of the Society of Garden Designers, the only professional association for garden designers in the UK.
In 2013 I won a competition sponsored by Provender Nurseries to re-design the planting in one of the permanent show gardens at Capel Manor in Enfield. The garden continues to thrive and be enjoyed by the visitors.
The following year I entered a design for my first show garden at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show which was accepted and built in 2015. ‘Spirit of the Aegean’ was sponsored by cruise company Noble Caledonia and went on to receive a Gold Medal.
In 2016 I was invited to participate in the first International Istanbul Besiktas Flower Festival for which I submitted my design ‘Spirit of an English Garden’. The show gardens were positioned in public parks and although these were planned to be temporary, the gardens are still in place and being enjoyed by the public.
2017 brought the joy of designing a commemorative garden for the Missing People charity in collaboration with Chiswick House and Garden Trust and Gavin Jones Ltd.
